DIRTY DOZEN - CLEAN 15

Guide to: Lowest to the highest levels of pesticide residue found in fruit and vegetables.

Shop Smarter: The Clean Fifteen & Dirty Dozen Guide.

When it comes to buying produce, knowing where to spend a little extra for organic can make a real difference. To simplify your shopping experience, I’m sharing a trusted resource from the Environmental Working Group (EWG): the Clean Fifteen and the Dirty Dozen.

The list from Environmental Working Group (EWG) is updated annually and highlights which fruits and vegetables have the lowest (Clean Fifteen) and highest (Dirty Dozen) levels of pesticide residues. It’s a quick and simple way to reduce your exposure to harmful chemicals — especially for those of us who cook often and want to feed our families cleaner, safer food.

You don’t have to buy everything organic. But knowing which items to prioritize can help you shop smarter, even on a budget. Use the visual guide to make easy swaps and more informed choices the next time you’re at the store and or farmers market.

Quick Tip: If a fruit or veggie is on the Dirty Dozen list, consider going organic. If it’s on the Clean Fifteen, conventional is likely okay.

📌 For the full list download it from EWG.org for your next grocery run.
