About the Recipe

Fenugreek Toast is a twist on the classic of French Toast. You'll taste the infusion of the fenugreek leaves with a lovely aroma of indian infusion followed by a tinge of bitterness. I love the combination of savory with a touch of sweetness by drizzling on some maple syrup.

Ingredients

2 Eggs mixed in with 3 Tablespoons of milk

2 Slices of whole wheat bread (you can swap out to white bread)

1 tablespoon of dried fenugreek

1/2 Teaspoon Garlic granules

Good pinch of salt and ground pepper

Mustard seed oil (you can swap out the oil)

Preparation

Step 1

Prep your eggs with all the seasonings.

Step 2

Whisk the eggs, milk and seasonings really well - for a good minute or two.

Step 3

Add enough oil to coat the skillet and heat the oil.

Step 4

Dip the bread into the egg mix and carefully place into the heated oil and cook for a minute or so until cooked through.

Step 5

Serve whilst warm. Please note that i've used whole wheat bread here, hence why it looks crispier but check out those Fenugreek leaves. Yum!!
